Julie is the Director of Tax with ZPLC, managing the Tax Department and Small Business Accounting Services practice, including posting and maintaining general ledgers, compiling financial statements, and preparing payroll and related taxes. She has a background with financial institutions and nonprofit organizations in which she specialized in internal and external audit of these entities.
With more than 20 years of experience, Julie oversees and coordinates all tax services rendered for clients. With ever-changing tax laws, Julie has become proficient in tax research in order to comply with these changes. She assists clients in responding to these changes in order for them to maintain tax compliance. Julie’s areas of expertise include multistate taxation, individual, and business taxation.
Julie earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration; Accounting Major from Wheeling College (a.k.a. Wheeling Jesuit University). Julie earned her CPA distinction in 1996 and became a Certified Fraud Examiner in 2001. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA); the West Virginia Society of CPA’s, Wheeling Chapter; Past President, Vice-President, and CPE Director; and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Julie is also the President of the Board of Directors of Russell Nesbitt Services, Inc., a non-profit providing life opportuities for individuals with disabilities.
